Why pay membership?
We use the funds generated from membership fees to cover the day to day running of our club, which includes the upkeep and maintenance of our pitch at Eastcliffe, GACA rent, team registrations, insurance and equipment. It can cost quiet a lot to run the club but if we all pay our way, then we can maintain and improve the facilities we have for everyone’s use.
Why have the registration fees for U11’s up to Adults remained the same for 2016/2017?
Last season we introduced our own club branded shorts and socks and requirement for them to be worn in all competitive league fixtures. In order to implement this we included the cost of these in the 2015/16 membership fee for players aged U11’s up to the adults. For the 2016/17 season we have removed the socks and shorts from the membership fee but kept the membership fee the same. Why?
In 2016/17 the club is taking a significant step forward and is in the final stages of securing a long term lease on two Glanmire Community Association pitches, along with usage of dressing rooms and storage, which will result in an increase in our outgoings. The membership fees have been set at a level to cover our budgeted expenditure to run the Club.
Why do we need to improve our facilities?
In view of the numbers of players and teams that we have across the club at all age levels, and our growing numbers, it is imperative that we secure greater pitch usage. As not to would mean that the club do not have the facilities required to develop teams and players to help every individual reach their potential.
Yours in Sport,
Riverstown FC Committee
